Behind the Scenes: SuperBooth Prep

As we approach Superbooth next week, we’ve been hard at work at the woodshop at our Chicago headquarters preparing the best possible iteration of SpaceDrum as we move toward manufacturing. Justin has spent the past few weeks sourcing premium mahogany that reinforces our Midwest roots and aesthetic. The visual aspect of an instrument always shapes how you interact with it, and we want SpaceDrum’s design to feel immediately inspiring and visually bold.

Alongside the woodwork, we’ve been refining a new jack panel to make SpaceDrum more versatile in the studio, adding individual outputs per channel and a new power button, while maintaining USB integration and 5 pin MIDI I/O.
