Reactivity Jam featuring the Korg Monologue
Our founder, Justin, has recorded a stunning performance showcasing Reactivity, one of SpaceDrum’s defining features. Reactivity allows users to compose rhythms by feeding audio directly into SpaceDrum’s input, introducing an entirely new approach to rhythm creation and establishing SpaceDrum as a true creative collaborator.
In this performance, a bass sequence from the Korg Monologue interacts with a slow four-on-the-floor groove. As Justin adjusts the Monologue’s filter and envelope decay, SpaceDrum responds in real time to the evolving high-frequency content and dynamic variations, generating additional snares and hi-hats that complement the performance. The result is a fluid musical conversation between rhythm and melody, demonstrating how Reactivity transforms audio into rhythm.
