Generative Jam featuring Pattern & Parts
Over the past few months, we have been prototyping content at our Chicago headquarters, and we’re excited to share our first jam. This performance showcases Intensity, Patterns, and Beatmaker.
I started off the jam with a four-on-the-floor kick pattern, followed by adjustments to the Intensity controls across the kick, snare, and closed hi-hat channels. The Pattern knob is then used on the kick channel to transition the groove from a steady four-on-the-floor rhythm into a breakbeat.
As the groove develops, the Beatmaker is used to generate a higher-intensity variation of the pattern. Turning the Beatmaker in the positive direction creates more energetic and complex variations, while moving it into the negative range produces simpler, lower-intensity versions of the groove.
